Weekend in full swing...

I started enjoying my weekend right away. Since our little guy went to spend a few nights with my mother, the hubs and I decided to take advantage of the time alone. We worked hard on Friday, then napped afterwards before heading out to dinner and to a friends birthday party at a local wine bar. One of the best things about the evening was that everything we did was local, so we were able to walk to dinner and to the birthday party. Then we got up Saturday morning and had breakfast at Le Pain and took a nice walk afterwards.

I'll be working all day today to make up for the work I didn't do yesterday...lol, then I'm heading out on Sunday for a staycation. I'll be back with a post and pictures on Tuesday...Enjoy your weekend!

p.s. I got word from the Manager at DenM Boutique & Gallery (one of the boutiques that now carries BSJ) that all but one of my tagline bracelets sold out the first day in the store. Woo Hoo!!! Below is a picture she sent me of their display of BSJ :) So exciting! DenM has high end brand name clothing and indie jewelry. Stop by if you live in the area. They carry the tagline bracelets, key necklaces, and wordplay earrings from BSJ.

Summer reads...

I love reading! I don't do it as often as I'd like to anymore (I don't think magazines count..lol!) but when I was a teen and young adult without a husband and child it was definitely one of my favorite pasttimes. The last three books I read were very good and now I'm in search of some new reading material. Although now it's impossible for me to finish a novel in 1 day because of all the things I am responsible for as a business owner, parent, and wife, however I still enjoy becoming engrossed in a great book when I have time, and going through all of the emotions that come along with reading. I absolutely love how a good book allows you to really feel like you get to know the characters and what they may be experiencing. Novelist tend to explore and expand their character(s) more in dept than a movie ever could.

Below are the last three books I've read, but I'm looking for some suggestions for new material....What good books have you read lately or is reading something that seems to elude you nowadays?

Comfy cozy...

Hello lovely free spirits! There will not be a BBS post today, but I'll be back next Wednesday to highlight a new Bohemian Biz Spotlight that you don't want to miss.

So we've been in our new place for about 3 months now and I'm still getting things organized and prettied up. Between operating BSJ, running our 2 farmer's markets, and staying on top of my sons health, decorating sometimes takes a back seat. I am pleased with what we've managed to do so far, but there is still so much I want to do. What I have managed to do is create little spaces that I love. I like to call them comfy cozy spaces. A few of my favorite places in our loft are my office, the reading nook/area, our bed, and the place where my coffee is located...Lol! Below are a few shots I took of my favorite spaces. What are the favorite places in your home?

Signs of fall...

The months are passing by so fast, and before we know it the summer will be over. I've already started following the fall trends and gathering inspiration for my next BSJ collection. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I'm a natural gal, and I love all the rustic and warm colors that the season brings. This will be our first year living in our new place and city and I'm really looking forward to it! I'm excited about wearing cute scarves on my morning walks to Le Pain Quotidien for coffee, snuggling on the sofa with my boys and watching television, making comfort food like my homemade chicken noodle soup, and walking downstairs to listen to evening jazz sets with my hubby! Below are a few pictures I found that will help me with my color collaborations for the upcoming Bohemian Spirit Jewelry fall collection.

Weekend deal...

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I was busy catching up on BSJ orders, so I didn't have time to indulge in any real fun. I did manage to swing by the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on sunday evening. It was nice because I went alone, grabbed a coffee in the cafe, and took my sweet time admiring all of the great deals. I picked up some really cute striped jersey loungewear dresses from the Make + Model brand in yellow and blue. Both were on sale for $12.90.....but it the deal gets sweeter...when I got to the register they rang up at $5!!!!! Don't you love when that happens??

Happy Friday...

The end of the work week is here...Yay!!!! Does anyone have any grand plans? I have a few things to do, but I'm already tired just thinking of them. There's nothing more I'd rather do this weekend than stay in bed, watch netflix movies on my computer, eat snacks, and enjoy mini naps.  Doesn't that sound good??!!!! If only it were possible...Lol! Oh well. Since I'll be out and about and attending a few parties this weekend I went and got myself a cute pedicure and some adorable and very affordable sandals. I'm excited about them both! *excuse my long feet...I'm just a long person...I get it from my Daddy ;).

Have a great weekend!

My neck of the woods...

I'm so fortunate to live in a quaint little neighborhood that has so many great boutiques and shops. One of my favorite local boutiques is Nina Fleurina. I found out about Nina Fleurina a while ago and decided to drop in and see what merchandise they had. Upon entering I was blown away with the loveliness and femininity of the space. The owner, Ebony Robinson happened to be working that day and we talked for a while. Since that day I've been to Nina Fleurina several times and I've even taken my girlfriends and gotten them hooked on this super cute boutique. We are all in love with her soaps and bath products which are handmade by Ebony and her mother! Shortly after meeting Ebony we met for coffee and really hit it off. Over the last few months I've gotten to know Ebony and her husband very well and now consider them friends. She's incredibly creative and is totally in love with love, romanticism, vintage finds, and all things pretty and it shows in her DIY boutique. The other day while helping her do a little clean up work in her shop, I decided to snap some pictures to share with you all. Enjoy!

P.S. Ebony can be reached via email at Mrs.Robinson007@gmail.com. She's having a $5 blowout sale on Saturday at her boutique. If you can't stop by, maybe you can have her ship some of her famous soaps and lingerie :).
