Organizing + New schedule

I am creating another new blog schedule. A few of the old topics have run their course, so I'm working on new stuff to share with you all in hopes of keeping this blog interesting {for me and you}, fun, interactive, and enlightening. If there is something in particular you'd like to see me blog more about, or maybe something you'd like me to keep blogging about please comment below or email me. I love knowing which topics you guys like most!

Anyhoo, yesterday evening my intern Stella came by and we did more organizing projects in my office. I'm trying to create a system so that I'm not scrambling to find my supplies while I'm creating and filling orders. It's always nice when Stella and I get down to business because we now seem to have a routine. She comes upstairs to my office, takes off her shoes and grabs a spot on my fuzzy rug. I give her a task and she gets busy! I always turn on a fun station on Pandora radio {yesterday's station was Florence + the Machine} and we worked for 2 - 3 hours straight while talking about fashion, and current events.

Holiday decor & more...

I'm getting quite bored with my little blog :( I hate to say that, but it is so true. It may be time to shake things up around here a bit. This week my intern Stella and I will be working on a new blog schedule and maybe a new blog design as well. I've been wanting to re-vamp the blog for a while and I've been making little changes here and there, but I haven't been 100% satisfied with the changes yet. I'm gonna really "boho" it up....maybe....lol!

Anyhoo, are you all getting ready for the gift giving season? I can't believe we are less than 1 month away from Christmas. I haven't started decorating yet, but I've definitely been looking for new decor items for our place. Since the move to our Loft in May, I now need to look for new holiday decorating ideas that fit the style of our place. I've always liked simple touches during the holidays and not the full on red and green decor style.

Below are a few touches that I wouldn't mind incorporating into my holiday decor this year.
What do you think???? Do you guys go all out with decorating, or do you prefer simple as well?

Anniversary...

Hope you all had a very lovely Thanksgiving! We had a low key quiet day which was fine by me. Normally my whole family gets together {there's tons of us} but this year everyone kind of did their own thing.

The day after Thanksgiving was our anniversary. I posted about a friends anniversary celebration I attended last month here and everyone thought it was my anniversary...I guess the wording of the post was a bit weird, and after reading it back I could see how it was confusing.

Anyhoo, on friday my honey and I celebrated the evening with an overnight stay in Santa Monica for OUR anniversary. After we checked in our hotel and enjoyed some champagne and chocolate, we went out for an evening of dancing followed by delicious chili cheese fries at a local burger joint. We didn't get back to the hotel until about 2 am....such an amazing night! The next day we slept in and headed out to lunch and some "light" shopping. We had a perfect anniversary and I was really kind of sad to see our day come to an end.

Below are a few pictures.

M. Kors Gone Tribal

It's thanksgiving, one of the most heart-warming times of the year. Whether you had your turkey fest early or late, with loved ones or alone...I hope you celebrated responsibly and be thankful for what you do have.

Today is Boho-Thursday as usual and this time...Michael Kors 2012 Spring collection is undeniably African inspired. "He demonstrated a mostly sure hand today, synthesizing animal prints, hand-dyeing techniques, djellabas, and accessories like crocodile-strap cross-body bags and gladiator sandals that climbed almost to the knee...read more (style.com).
I love that he added a twist to the infamous fanny packs...but his version is the one you'll love to rock.

Holiday mode...

Hey there free spirits! Sorry for the lack of posts. I've seemed to have fallen into vacation/holiday mode a bit early...Lol! But really I was just so swamped after planning Sip n' Shop, Girls' Night Out that afterwards I needed a break. It is such a time consuming event to plan, and then when the day arrives I put all of my blood, sweat, and tears into making sure everyone is happy {which is impossible} and by the end of the day I'm totally exhausted. But the event was a huge success and my partner and I were proud of the job we did....I'll post pictures from the event soon.

So after a bit of rest I finally got back into the swing of things today. I've been catching up on orders, preparing for my Black Friday sale, and planning the next steps for Bohemian Spirit Jewelry for 2012. Next year I'll be placing more focus on getting my baubles into more boutiques and expanding my retailer list. If you would like to see if BSJ is sold near you, you can always find a list of retailers here.

Anyhoo, I'll be back later on with another post, but I just wanted to encourage you all to sign up for the BSJ newsletter soon. I'm having a give-a-way AND I'll be releasing details about the BSJ Black Friday sale to newsletter subscribers 1st!

The Chic and Sheer

Yes, I know it sounds like we are skirt obsessed, definitely not always but right now...sort of. There's never been these many choices to pick from, the pleats, the minis, the high-lows hems, and sheer.
I couldn't help but endulge in Gucci RTW F2011. This time we are back in the 70s...fortunately for those sheer lovers this trend might roll into 2012. A perfect combination of a mini and a maxi in one look.
It's definitely one to dress up in or achieve the boho-chic look.
This is one of those styles for the brave and statement makers who are not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

But what do you think of this trend, do you like? Would you wear? or simply snob it?

Anyhoo, below are a few of my current obsessions and then a few pictures of leopard print things I've recentlly purchased.

What do you guys think...are you into the new animal print thing or not?

New Designer- Boho-INSpiration

Forgive me on the late post today, it was one of those days that you start of with something but it ends entirely different.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's always exciting when a new discovery, crush, or anything along those lines happen, and today it's all about a new designer. If anyone else watched Project Runway season 9, you'll know about the talented lady- Anya Ayoung Chee. She was the fans favorite from day one, her personality reflected on every piece she produced. And it was no surprise when she won it all. Her styles are ethnic-inspired (Trinidad & Tobago) ,effortless, breezy, flowy, elegant, boho-chic, and all the synoyms of beauty and comfort.
I'm definitely excited about her clothing line PILAR (named after her brother who died on a tragic car accident) and a Lingerie line Anya De Rogue. I was always intrigued by her personal style, so I can't wait to see what she creates next.
Friendship...
I truly value my friends and my friendships. I've never been the type of girl to have many friends. Believe it or not I've always been somewhat of a loner type. Not because I didn't like people, but because I just preferred to keep my circle small. Well it is almost impossible to do that in business. Sometimes you have to open yourself up to new relationships and friendships in order to grow (in life and business). At first I had a difficult time opening myself to a new circle of friendships, but then it got easier and easier.  I've always heard certain women say that they don't like to have several female friends because "women are messy." Well one thing I've realized is that the person who normally says that is the person who is usually creating the mess....Lol! Those are people I watch out for,  and as of lately those are people I have cut out of my life. I look for certain qualities in people when I decide I want to spend my time with them, lunch with them, have personal moments with them. Just like when choosing a mate, I believe we must be selective in choosing our close friends as well, but not so closed off from people who seem "different" that we miss out on the opportunity to make a great friendship with someone who looks different, or is from a different culture, or age group.
Anyhoo, I will touch more on this subject later because there is so much to be said. Anybody who knows me and is my friend knows that I care about them, expect things from them, love them, am honest with them, and will be there for them. That's how I roll with my friends. ;)
How do you guys feel about friendships? Do you have several, or just a few? Are open to knew friendships, or do you keep it to a minimum at all times?
Things that make me happy....
Hey there! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We finally got some rain here in Southern California, so that was nice. I had to cancel our farmers market on Friday because the rain got a little too heavy, so that was a bummer. But Stella and I had a chance to get tons of work done that evening. You may notice a little straightening up here on the blog....What do you think? Kinda girly huh? I'll probably be changing it again soon....I'm so indecisive. Lol!
Anyhoo, Sip n' Shop Girls' Night Out is this Friday and I'm super excited. I hope some of you can join in on the fun. I am so happy that I'll be sipping, shopping, and socializing with some fabulous women in 3 days, plus below are a few other things that are also making me happy. Enjoy!
1. Necklace from Ethiopia (gift from my cousin).
2. Rich colors in the Gold Rush Bracelet.
3. Cranberry Scone from my fave bakery.
4. Fresh flowers.
