Getaway...

Hey there! Happy Friday! Hope everyone is well. I've been hopping back and forth between here, here, and here, so my time management has been my best friend. Everything must be put on calendar or I will forget....seriously! Luckily I remembered to put my sister's birthday getaway weekend on the calendar (she would have killed me if I had made other plans in place of her b-day) because it's a milestone birthday for her in so many ways. Her growth as a person over the last year has been tremendous and I'm truly proud of her.

Sooooooooo we're off for a weekend stay filled with luxuriousness at the US Grant Hotel... So exciting! I'll be back on Monday with pics.

Sometimes I wonder....

I often laugh at the multitude of things I have going on in my life and wonder how in the heck I manage to pull it all off. I am definitely a risk taker, a believer that nothing is too big to accomplish, and that life is waiting for us to dive in. I haven't always had this mindset....I really started to evolve into my authentic self within the last 3 years or so. I feel more confident than I ever have, I'm definitely more mature (lots of life lessons learned over the past few years), and also my strengthened dependence on my faith and God have played a huge part in who I have become. As I approach the big 4-0 in just a few years I'm more eager than nervous to see my growth as a person, wife, mother, friend, and servant. Exciting stuff!

Anyhoo, I say all of that to say that my strength as a woman who is determined to pursue her goals and dreams and make a great life for our son is exactly how I pull off all that I do!

Hey! Happy new week....

It's a new week already! Where does the time go??? Seriously! Anyhoo, I hope you all had a fabulous week & were well-rested and ready to tackle the new week with a positive outlook and a refreshed spirit. I know I had a very rocky few days last week, so the start of a new week was just what I needed. As of late I've been trying to deal with "situations" as soon as they arise, that way I'm not stewing in things that are bothering me, or bring me down.  Last week I handled an uncomfortable situation the best way I knew how, and boy did it get uncomfortable. But dealing with weird matters are never comfortable and the sooner they are addressed, the faster they can be in the past. Would you agree?

So moving forward, I am looking forward to several things this week! First, a surprise getaway I've planned for my hubby and I. :) Second, the grand opening celebration of Glitter Lifestyle Boutique on Saturday which my partner "E" and I have been so excited about. We can't wait to share our blog/boutique come to life with everyone. And last but certainly not least, prepping my little guy (who isn't really that little because he's now 12 years old and already 5 foot 3 already) for a week of science camp in Big Bear with his 6th grade class.

By now we're all pretty much aware that denim is indispensible...and that point was clearly made in Ralph Lauren's Denim and Supply S/S 2012 lookbook.
