Beverage Brim | The Classy Glass Cover

Hello and happy Monday! I really have NO business taking a break and writing a blog post, because I'm currently inundated with so much work. There has been a lot of growth and changes in both of my businesses (A Toast 2 Artistry & Heritage Farmers Markets) and as a result, I haven't had much time to blog. You've probably noticed the long break between my Anniversary Vacation and Spring Getaway post. But, blogging is something that I've always enjoyed, so I'm attempting to do more of it, especially since it's so relaxing to me.

Today, I decided to pop in and share with my latest obsession, because I just can't stand to see anyone without one of these....The Beverage Brim. These beautifully handcrafted wine/cocktail glass covers are so perfect for so many reasons. I swear, every time I have mine over my glass at a restaurant, someone asks where I got it. Here's a few reasons why I'm crazy about them.

1. They keep critters out of my glass....including people. Lol!

2. They are super chic and look so classy draped over the glass.

3. They come with a draw string bag to make carrying easy.  A girls has to have one in her purse at all times for impromptu cocktails.

4. They are super affordable and great for gifting!

Imagine a girls' night out and you and all of your girlfriends have your cocktail/wine glasses on the table with a Beverage Brim cover over them.....HELLO!!! So fabulous, right?

Whelp, I already own a few because my aunt, Bernice Abram happens to be the fabulous designer. But, if you are interested in ordering, you can do so online at BeverageBrim.com or contact her here for custom orders.

Below is a bit about her journey, and why she started this fabulous company!

ABOUT
...
The Beverage Brim™ is a Handmade in the USA "Classy Glass" cover, carefully designed to keep unwanted objects out and the class of your glass in!  It is the elegant way to accessorize, identify, and protect the contents of your beverage.
THE REASON
...
After personally realizing the daily struggles and stresses of caregiving for a Vietnam Veteran with Dementia/Alzheimer's, a hobby became the most crucial part of my survival.  The benefits of hand-making individualized classy beverage covers became the focal point of my existence and has brought a new sense of meaning, relaxation, tranquility and inspiration!  As a result, each year a portion of the proceeds will be donated to help cure Alzheimer's and support Veterans.

Rolling with the punches....

Well I'm sure you all have noticed some changes to the blog....again. Lol! I've been loving all the spring colors that have managed to carry over into summer this year, so I decided to create a header for my blog to mimic those colors...I love it! I think it fits me and this blog to a tee.

Anyhoo, there has also been some changes to the BSJ website. I've downsized to a storenvy site to cut down on hosting costs. Sometimes as small business owners we have to make unexpectant changes that help keep the biz running smoothly. So I'm just rolling with the punches and making adjustments as needed to keep my little company afloat. With all of the larger companies like Forever 21 & H&M robbing small businesses (like BSJ) of our original designs and mass producing them for like $3 (argh!!!) it's hard for us to remain in business. Although they may create a similar product, it isn't nearly as well-made, nor will it last as long as some of the handcrafted items out there. So as they proceed to take over the world...small businesses like myself need to constantly re-invent, stay on top of our game, and make changes at a moments notice. Those are some of the crazy things that come with self-employment that most people don't know about. While it's fun to be your own boss, it can also be quite challenging and stressful at times. I'm not complaining because I absolutely LOVE what I do, but just as there are challenges in a 9 to 5, there are also "not so good moments" in self-employment as well.

So with all that being said, I thank you all for your loyalty! I know that you can choose to buy jewelry anywhere, but several of you have been purchasing from me for years and I am so grateful and blessed because of it. I still get excited when I receive an email about how much you enjoy your jewelry, or a picture with your wrist full of BSJ armcandy. It truly makes my day! xoxoxox

Now to some fun stuff...Here are a few ways I've been stacking this summer! If you follow BSJ on Facebook, then you've probably seen a lot of these pics. Most items below are now available on the Bohemian Spirit site. The web address hasn't changed....{www.BohemianSpiritJewelry.com} :)
