Italy - Rome | Part I

Hey there lovelies! I can't believe I'm writing two blog posts in one week...Let's celebrate! Lol!

Well, I know I promised to share pictures from my trip to Italy months ago, so thanks for waiting on these. I needed time to upload them to my computer and share them with my family before releasing them to the world. As I expressed in a post here, this was a dream trip for me. I've been wanting to go to Italy since I was in my early 30's and the hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We spent 3 days in Rome, 2 in Florence, and 2 in Venice. We also went on a wonderful day trip to Tuscany and Pisa.

I took a ridiculous amount of pictures, so it was hard to choose which ones to share. I'll start by sharing some pictures from Rome and then Florence and Venice in the coming days.

Hope you enjoy these!

10-Year Anniversary Trip

Hey there lovelies! I've been trying to wrap my head around the fact that the holidays are almost here...crazy, right?!!! 2016 has been moving at lightening speed and before we know it Thanksgiving and Christmas will have come and gone. Wow!

Anyhoo, while I'm not so anxious for the year to be over, I am very excited for my upcoming 10-year anniversary trip to Italy! I've been dreaming of going to Italy, particularly Tuscany ever since I saw Under the Tuscan Sun in 2003. There was just something about Diane Lane in her bohemian dresses, traipsing through the Italian countryside, and enjoying great conversation and wine with new friends...The whole movie just captured my heart. And now, it's going to be my reality and I'm so damn excited! It is my dream vacation!

While the trip is still a little over 7 weeks away, I'm already in full planning mode. Scouring Pinterest for cute outfits, practicing my Italian phrases, and drinking my coffee black in preparation for the strong coffee there. We've also already booked our tours in Rome, Florence and Venice, which I'm sure are going to be amazing. However, I've been doing my research on off the beaten path places where we can get lost in the culture and beauty of each city. There's so much to do and see, but I also want us to have some slow moments where we just take it all in.

Well, I'm excited to share more with you all as the date gets closer. Please, if you've been to Italy and know of any places that are a "must see or do" in Rome, Florence or Venice, please let me know.

Annnd, I must say that I'm extremely proud of my husband and I for reaching 10 years of marriage! We work hard at it, and I believe marriage to be beautiful, challenging, rewarding, complicated, interesting, comforting, and it's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me!
