Eileen Fisher

Lately my wardrobe has been all about comfort. I thought it was just me being lazy and always wanting to wear pieces that I don't need to iron, but I found out that all my late 30's, early 40's aged girlfriends are gravitating toward the same trend. I'm figuring these fashion decisions are the result of me growing a bit wiser over the years and knowing that showing every body part doesn't always equate to being sexy. Although showing a little skin every now and then doesn't hurt :)

I've always been an Eileen Fisher fan, but her collections seemed like something I would wear when my locs were long and gray & I was definitely close to having grandchildren. Now, I think her line has evolved and appeals to women of all ages. I'm seriously ready to make a purchase...I love everything about her line!

What do you think? Would you wear any E. Fisher pieces?

  1. I probably wouldn't, not because they aren't cute. She has some gorgeous pieces but the drapey look tends to not be so flattering on me.

  2. When you get to be in your 40's, you are no longer trying to prove anything to anyone. Trends, what's in style, etc, seems to become less and less important. You've lived and you know who you are. Being relaxed in your day to day life takes the fore front in your wardrobe choices. That's for sure!

  3. Hi Sunny! Yes, I agree these clothes aren't for all body types.

  4. Yes, Glenda I totally agree. I now gravitate toward comfort and what I like rather than whats in trend.
