Tribal Find

Anyone else besides me obsessed with tribal patterns and prints? It seems like everything I'm drawn to these days has a global feel. Maybe it's Gods way of telling me to get prepared for a cultural excursion...who knows.

Anyhoo, I have been searching high and low for a tribal style handbag that wouldn't break the bank. Well, I finally found one. It's definitely what I wanted as far as pattern and quality goes, but without the hefty price tag.  I stumbled upon it at Ananda Boutique in Venice on Abbot Kinney Street, which has some of the best indie boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops in the Southern Cali beach areas. Since the hubby and I were walking around (me shopping) in the Venice area, we decided to grab dinner as well at a lovely little place call Salt Air. It was such a beautiful day!

I loved the natural menus.

Private Dining Room. Hmmm...I sense a girls' gathering coming on. :)

Bar Area with fresh citrus fruit in bowls. LOVE!

Rose' :)

The best corn fritters with a salted honey butter!

Organic seasonal salad.

Fried oysters (hubby wanted these)

Lobster sandwich...Yum!

My lovely Tribal Tote...Yip!

Sitting pretty!

  1. Yum, the food looks delicious! Love the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant!

And I love your bag! Reminds me of a purse I got years ago by my parents when they went to Ghana. I wonder if it is still at my parents house ... hmm.

    1. Hi Faith! Yes, the food was delish. We've decided that it's our new "place." :)

Wow, if you have a bag like this you need to recover it ASAP! And it's from Ghana....nice!

  2. Love this post My!!! Makes me want to jump in my car and head to Venice. I haven't been there in years!

    1. Thanks Glenda! Yes, you have to go on Abbott Kinney....You'll REALLY appreciate the "cuteness." :)

  3. I've been really into Art Deco design lately, but I always have a soft spots for Aztec and other tribal prints as well.

The lamps at that restaurants are EVERYTHING- Very cool. I love your hand bag too.

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thank you!
