2011 tasks...

What things will you do differently at the start of the New Year?  I've committed to putting more energy into my business.  I've actually made several changes this year (new biz name, new website, new facebook page, new blog), but there's definitely still lots more work to do.  I'm always searching for like-minded folks to align myself with, and also resources that will help me grow.  One of my favorite things to do is jotting down notes, inspirational websites, tips, and ideas in a cute little notebook or journal to reference things i'd like to accomplish, research, or just design ideas for future BSJ collections.

Are any of you thinking of starting a business, or taking your business to the next level in 2011? How do you keep track of your goals? I'd love to know what your 2011 plans are.

  3. Hi Myisha,

I highly recommend the book titled The Boss of You. It's awesome for creative entrepreneurs. I wrote about it on my blog last year:

Let me know if you end up reading it and your thoughts!

  4. Myisha,

I also recommend the book Arianna mentioned, along with The Martha Rules. Both books are fantastic.

I have the coffee mug that goes with that journal! LOL!

  5. Myisha, I love love love the new logo, website, blog! I have been so busy this past year, but I plan to order some pieces from you. (Looking right now since I'm snowed in for the next couple of days....in Atlanta no less). I don't have an inspirational way to keep track of my goals....I just email my to do to myself and keep a bucket list...which keeps changing....now that I've finished school, the plan is to grow professionally, spend as much time with my son as possible, read, support the arts in the city (with no class to prevent me from going) and travel with my boo...In 2010 I went to South Africa...next trips: Trinidad, China, and Ghana
