Summer escapes...

This weekend was especially tough for me. As a mother of a teenage boy who like Trayvon Martin also walks through our neighborhood and makes stops at the local store for tea & goodies, I realized that this could have happened to my Myles. My heart broke when Trayvon Martin was killed, however I broke down when the verdict was read as Not Guilty. My heart truly aches for the Martin family and I prayed that God give them hope and peace.

On a much lighter note, I'm really enjoying summer. Not so much the 100 degree plus weather here in California, but the plethora of simple activities that I've been enjoying....especially in the evening. It's been nice to spend time with my Bff's, enjoy family time, sightseeing, and also carve out moments for myself to enjoy a glass of wine, and do some sale shopping. :)

What have you all been up to this summer?

A night out with the ladies!

At a Michael Jackson Tribute Party in L.A.

Walking to my shop in the morning...love those moments. Think time!

  1. Love it! You have such a boho life. And, like you, I was completely heart broken, but not surprised by the verdict.
