Anniversary Getaway

Hey Lovelies! Hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving with family, friends, good food and lots of love!

Last Wednesday the hubby and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary...woo hoo! That definitely deserves a scream and a shout because as all of us married folk know...."till death do us part" takes a lot of work, compromise, forgiveness, and many other things that we sometimes don't like doing. But, I'm grateful for our journey and I believe our friendship and love grows stronger each year. We definitely thought this year was particularly worth getting away because it had been a challenging one for us, and we were so thankful that God brought us through some interesting times. The power of prayer, forgiveness, and love is amazing.

We opted to spend our anniversary in Las Vegas. A city my husband loves, but that I'm not crazy about. But, I decided to implement all of my girly touches into the trip to make it fun for the both of us, and we indeed had a ball! We stayed at the SLS Hotel, which original home is in Beverly Hills. The SLS in Vegas was designed to give you that Los Angeles chic feel which is definitely what I was looking for. We scored an amazing Groupon deal for $40 per night which included 2 cocktails and an appetizer at any of the SLS Hotel restaurants daily. This deal saved us so much money, which left me with a few extra bucks to hit the outlets...hehehe. I even smoked my first cigar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel while sipping on red wine...great first experience by the way. I'll spare you those photos though..Lol!

Below are some pictures of the hotel, random stuff we did and ate. We really had an amazing time and my hubby treated me like a Queen. He ended our 3 day stay by surprising me with a sunset dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant with roses and gifts on the table when I arrived, and a window seat facing the Bellagio Hotel where I was able to watch the water show the entire evening. I felt so overwhelmed and so much love in that moment that I started crying and I'm not ever a crybaby in that way.

I highly recommend going to Las Vegas in the fall and especially staying at the SLS Hotel. We've decided that going to Las Vegas in the fall will now be a new getaway destination for us. The city wasn't crowded, the weather was perfect, and the rooms were priced well.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Had my morning coffee fix at The Perq each day.

The Ciel Spa was amazing! Best massage I've ever had.
